To make a Pau d'arco athlete's foot soak, steep 6 pau d'arco tea bags in about two quarts of warm water. Soak your feet in the tea for at least 15 minutes three times a day. This will help to relieve inflammation, burning and itching caused by athlete's foot, as well as help to kill the fungus. Additionally, you can also make pau d'arco tea to consume to help heal the infection as well.

Tea tree oil is one of the most often used and most powerful herbal remedies around. Tea tree oil is used as treatment for a variety of ailments, athlete's foot included. Tea tree oil is a natural anti fungal oil, so it is extremely effective in treating athlete's foot. To make a tea tree oil soak to cure athlete's foot, add 20-25 drops of pure tee tree oil to a small tub of warm water. Again, you should soak your feet in this mixture for at least 15 minutes, three times daily. Once you have removed your feet from the soak, dry your feet completely, and then apply straight tea tree oil to the infected areas. It is important to note that though this will quickly cure athlete's foot, it can also excessively dry your skin. If this occurs, use a mild lotion on the dry areas.

Apple Cider Vinegar however, is also great for killing fungal infections. To make an apple cider vinegar soak, you should soak your feet at least once daily in a half and half mixture of apple cider vinegar and water. To make this soak more effective, once you have soaked your feet, dry your feet completely and apply pure, unprocessed olive oil to the infected area to help heal cracking and blisters.

A salt water mixture makes an excellent soak for athlete's foot. Salt water is quite effective at healing many skin disorders, and athlete's foot is no exception. To make your salt water athlete's foot soak, mix 2-4 teaspoons of sea salt in a pint of warm water. Allow your feet to soak in the water for at least 15 minutes once a day. Continue this salt water foot soak daily, until the athlete's foot is cured.
